Porthleven is a stunning harbour town near Helston, full of traditional fishing village charm and character. Porthleven is famous for it’s dramatic winter storms and boasts some stunning beaches and dramatic coastline in the summer months. It’s also home to the Porthleven Food Festival. Tom’s favourite festival of the year. Long established and continually growing the weekend attracts over 40,000 people every year. As well as the typical market-style stalls & stands, selling local produce, food, drink, coffee, crafts… they have live music, cookery demonstrations, fireworks, workshops…
OPEN TO SMALL - LARGE GROUP BOOKINGS
*as it’s a colder part of year we need to chat to you before accepting any bookings*
We’d love to open up a swimming weekend on the dates of this festival but we are conscious of the water temperatures for this time of year. So….we’re going to open up these dates to group bookings of 4 +. You’ll need to contact us direct and have a chat but if you’re a hardened year-round swimmer and you’re happy to swim this time of year, so are we. We’ll design a trip around your group. The minimum size we require is 4 but the more you bring the cheaper the trip will be.
RECOMMENDED ACCOMMODATION :
The Porthleven area will be extremely busy. We’d strongly recommend that you follow our recommendations for the Penzance area and book accommodation in Penzance. You can book in Porthleven but you may struggle with availability and it’ll be tricky to drive into Porthleven and pick you up each day.
